To begin with...It is my first blog and I haven't been in touch with my 'anreji' vocab that much so please pardon any grammatical mistakes and all the slang lingo.( bole to mistakes ho to lite lena yaar :P )
I was alloted BARC as my PS station and I left for the mayanagri Mumbai from my home( in Jamnagar, Gujarat) on 23rd with mixed feelings. I was obviously sad that I had to give up the home cooked food, the "latsaheb" treatment , hanging out wid my school friends and driving my new car( technically my dad owns the car but for all practical purposes 'main hi uska malik tha' :P ), on the other hand i was excited at the prospect of spending almost two months in Mumbai. (I guess that is what they call being nostalgic.)
Mumbai has always fascinated me.I m not quite sure myself what lures me toward mumbai, but I guess it has something to do ornithology( for the confused ones Hint: Ornitholgy= Bird watching :P ) .
Newaz....I reached Mumbai early on the morning of 24th May. I got down at Bandra Terminus and took rikshaw to Kurla, (the place i m staying presently.) The rikshaw wala bhaiya was happy that he had fooled me and taken more money and I was happy that I wasn't fooled to the extent that I had anticipated:D .
The place I am staying is kind of glorified garage with an attached bathroom, not your ideal home but a decent enough place to stay for a couple of months. My roomie Ishan too arrived on the same morning, and along with his dad we had a look arounf the Chembur- Kurla area.
I am gettin a bit bored( yupp you are not the only one gettin bored :P ) and its only supposed to be a prelude...so i will make it short.
we moved around. travelled in rikshaw.travld in taxi. visited Phoenix mall. Saw really hot gals( :P ). sat in Barista( btw it was my first time in Barista nd by the looks of the bill prob my last :P ). saw bowling alley. bought stuff for the room. came back. ate in dominoes. readied our papers for the first day and slept...
